Physical Education

Physical Education at St Georges Rd Primary School addresses the individual health and fitness needs of our students while developing self-confidence, self-esteem and their skill levels.

The program focuses on health and fitness, Fundamental Motor and Sport Specific Skills and supports students to build independent and team skills. Fostering student’s enjoyment and love of movement and activity is at the forefront of every lesson.

Students receive a 60 minute Physical Education lesson each week and this provides opportunities for students to be introduced to a number of sports.  In addition, Grades 4 to 6 have a one hour sport session.  The combination of the PE  and Sport sessions can then enable our students to participate in community sporting teams as well as inter-school competitions, and regional and state-level for high achieving students.
